The Mason County Royals rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the St. Patrick Saints 8-6 today.
The Saints scored four runs in the top of the first inning. Mason County scored in each of the first five innings and led 8-4 after five innings. St. Patrick scored a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh. The Saints had the potential tying run at the plate in the seventh inning.
Corey Walker pitched six innings to pick up the win. Keegan Burney got the save. Richie Cox was 2-for-2, stole four bases, scored three runs and drove in a run. Ryne King had two hits, scored twice and had one RBI. St. Patrick shortstop Chris Owens had three hits, scored two runs, drove in a run, had five assists and three putouts.
