Royals Edge Saints 1-0

The Mason County Royals scored an unearned run in the fifth inning in a 1-0 win over the St. Patrick Saints today at the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club. It was a perfect day for baseball and the two teams entertained the big crowd with a good game. Keegan Burney pitched a complete game, giving up just four hits and striking out six batters. Ryne King hit a two-out single in the fifth inning, went to second on an error and scored when Richie Cox reached base on an error. Jacob McKay took the loss but allowed just four hits in six innings. St. Patrick had 12 players available and Nick Anderson and Ryan Swolsky left the game with injuries. The Royals defeated the Saints 11-3 Saturday. They'll meet again May 6 at Mason County
