Lacey Cline (in photo) drove in a run with a two-out triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and the Mason County Lady Royals went on to beat the St. Patrick Lady Saints 3-1 in the season opener for both teams Monday. Cline scored the insurance run on an error. Hilary Doyle drove in the Lady Royals' first run with a ground out in the fifth inning. Kaitlyn Humphries' run-scoring triple gave St. Patrick a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning. Mason County pitcher Karissa Greenhill struck out nine batters and gave up just four hits. The Lady Saints' run was unearned.
