Lady Royals Lose to Lady Indians 66-58

The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Montgomery County Lady Indians 66-58 in the championship game of the 10th Region Tournament tonight. The game was tied at 56-56 with 3:45 to play but the Lady Indians ended the game on a 10-2 run. The Lady Indians outrebounded the Lady Royals 47-33. Mary Jehlik led Montgomery County with 21 points. Lacey Cline had a game-high 26 points for Mason County. De'Sarae Chambers added 21. It's Montgomery County's 4th straight regional title. Mason County is the runnerup for the third time in four years. It was the final game for seniors Cline, Chambers and Kasey Litzinger. All three were named to the All-Tournament Team. It was also the final game for Mason County Coach Paula Buser who announced last year that this would be her final season on the sidelines.

Montgomery County (26-6) Jehlik 21, M. Prewitt 16, Lee 14, E. Prewitt 13, Colliver 2
