The Scott Eagles beat the Harrison County Thorobreds 66-59 and the Clark County Cardinals defeated the Augusta Panthers 84-41 in the first round of the Boys' 10th Region Tournament.
Harrison County led by 10 in the first quarter, but Scott rallied and led by 16 in the third quarter. The Thorobreds wouldn't quit and they trimmed to the deficit to four but could get no closer. It was Scott's first win in the 10th Region Tournament. The Eagles lost in the first round last year, their first season in the region. Clark County led 20-3 at the end of the first quarter and cruised to the win over Augusta. The semifinals will be played Saturday. Bishop Brossart vs. Mason County at noon followed by Scott against Clark County at 3:30.
