Lofton's X-rays Negative

X-rays on Chris Lofton's injured ankle were negative. That word today from Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl on the Southeastern Conference basketball coaches teleconference. Pearl says Lofton is most likely going to be out for the Volunteer's game Wednesday night at Ole Miss. Pearl says now that a break has been ruled out it's just a matter of whether it's going to be a one, two or potentially three week ankle sprain. Pearl says Lofton has made progress in the last 48 hours as far as getting the swelling out of the ankle. Lofton suffered the injury in Saturday night's game against South Carolina. Tennessee plays at Kentucky Sunday afternoon.
