UT Coach Bruce Pearl Coming to Town

Circle Tuesday, Sept. 19 on your calendar. That's the day that University of Tennessee Men's Basketball Coach Bruce Pearl is coming to Maysville. Rotarian Jackie Thomas invited Pearl to be the guest speaker at the Maysville Rotary Club meeting and he accepted. Pearl is scheduled to visit the Tom Browning Boys and Girls Club during the afternoon. The Rotary Club meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Maysville Country Club, then Pearl will address the public at the Mason County Fieldhouse at 8 p.m. The event at the Fieldhouse is free. 2004 Kentucky Mr. Basketball Chris Lofton will be a junior for the Volunteers this coming season. He was the team's leading scorer last year. Tennessee is one of the many schools recruiting Mason County junior Darius Miller. I'm looking forward to meeting Pearl.
