Football Realignment Approved

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association Board of Control today
approved a six class alignment for high school football for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
Mason County will remain in Class 3-A, but will be back in a district with four familiar opponents from the Class 2-A years. Mason County will be in
District 7 with East Carter, Lewis County, Russell and West Carter.
Fleming County is moving up to Class 3-A, and was in District 7 in the proposed realignment released earlier this summer. But the KHSAA granted Fleming County's request to be moved to District 6 with Breathitt County, Cawood, Estill County and Powell County.
Bracken County will be in District 4 of Class "A" with Eminence, Frankfort, Gallatin County and Trimble County.
These are major changes that should create even more excitement in a sport that just keeps getting better and better in Kentucky.
