The Mason County Royals football team plays its home opener against Montgomery County tomorrow night. Some fans already had blankets or tarps on the bleachers saving their seats when I went to practice today. It will be the Royals' first home game since last Oct. 14. Mason County was 5-0 at home last season. The Royals lost their season opener 21-6 to Lafayette last Saturday night in the Recreation Bowl.
Montgomery County lost to Jefferstown 19-14 in the Ray Adams Charger Classic at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Mason County defeated Montgomery County 25-0 last season.
The Indians went 1-9 last year beating Rowan County 17-13 in the final game of the season. Kickoff is at 7:30. The tailgate party is from 5:15 to 6:45.
