The Indians routed the Royals 82-42 on January 25.
In Monday night's game, there were nine ties and seven lead changes in the game.
Mason County (17-14) shot 65.2% from the field in the first half and led 39-37 at halftime, but Montgomery County (21-10) took control of the game by outscoring the Royals 31-13 in the third quarter.
Montgomery County led by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter.
The loss snapped Mason County's eight-game winning streak.
Cayden Reed had 32 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Montgomery County which has won four straight games and 10 of its last 11. Luke Fawns followed with 16 points, Tyce Jarvis had 15, Andrew Terry 13 and Dawson Gentry 10.
Garryon McClain led Mason County with 27 points. Braeden Myrick made five 3-pointers and scored 26 points. Cole Horch had 14 points and eight rebounds.
Montgomery County scored 18 points off Mason County's 17 turnovers.
The Indians shot 50% from the field, 7 of 23 (30.4%) from behind the arc and 19 of 30 (63.35) from the free throw line.
The Royals shot 54.2% from the field, 8 of 13 (61.5%) from 3-point range and 13 of 18 (72.2%) from the free throw line.
McClain and Myrick and were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Montgomery County and George Rogers Clark will meet in the championship game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. GRC beat Nicholas County 87-56 in the other semifinal game.
