Royals top Harrison County 59-50

Braeden Myrick made five 3-pointers and scored 31 points to lead the Mason County Royals to a 59-50 win over the Harrison County Thorobreds on Tuesday night in Cynthiana.

It was Mason County's fourth win in five nights.

The Royals wore Maysville Bulldogs uniforms on Tuesday night.

Myrick was 11 of 15 from the field, 5 of 7 from 3-point range and 6 of 8 from the free throw line. 

Garryon McClain tossed in 13 points.

There were seven ties and 13 lead changes in the game. After leading 44-39 at the end of the third quarter, the Royals opened the fourth quarter with a 9-3 run to lead 53-42. Harrison County cut the gap to five, but Mason County scored the final four points.

The Royals (13-13) will host the Paris Greyhounds on Friday night. The game vs. Collins on Thursday night has been canceled.

Mason County shot 63.2% from the field and 53.8% for the game.

Harrison County shot 24.1% from the field and 33.3% for the game.
