Another sweep for the Mason County track and field teams

For the second straight week, the Mason County girls' and boys' indoor track and field teams swept a Mason County meet on Saturday.

The Lady Royals finished with 166 points. The Harrison County Fillies were a distant second with 40 points.

The Royals had a team score of 108.5. Madison Southern finished second with 61 points.

Mason County athletes with first place finishes include:

• Kenzie Gulley, girls' 55 meter dash (7.58)
• Sarah Payne, girls' 400 meter dash (1:03.00)
• Lexi Young, girls' high jump (5-0) and girls' long jump (16-9.25)
• Ava Thompson, girls' pole vault (11-1)
• Dashawn Overly, boys' 1600 meter run (4:45.50) and boys' 3200 meter run (10:29.17)
• Nazir Metts, boys' high jump (6-0)
• Keenan Galloway, boys' pole vault (11-6)
• The girls' 4x400 meter relay team (4:34.00)
• The boys' 4x400 meter relay team (3:55.78)

Mason County will host Indoor Meet No. 3 this Saturday.
