Cole Horch scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Braeden Myrick made 12-of-15 free throws and scored 20 points to lead the Mason County Royals to a 69-63 come-from-behind victory over the Scott Eagles on Friday night in the Mike Murphy Classic at The Fieldhouse.
There were four ties and six lead changes in the game. Scott led 15-7 in the first quarter. The Royals used an 18-9 run to lead 25-24 at halftime. The Royals extended the lead by outscoring the Eagles 25-19 in the third quarter.
Horch was 10-of-16 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
Garryon McClain added 13 points for the Royals who shot 57.9% from the field in the second half and 48.8% for the game.
Mason County (3-1) will host East Jessamine on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mike Murphy Classic.
