Lady Royals will face Pendleton County in 10th Region softball tournament

The Mason County Lady Royals will be looking for the softball program's first win in the 10th Region Tournament since 2016 when they play the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Scott.

Mason County (22-12) enters the tournament on a three-game winning streak including a 2-0 victory over the Bracken County Lady Bears in the championship game of the 39th District Tournament.

Pendleton County (13-15) is the runner-up of the 38th District Tournament. The Lady Wildcats fell to Harrison County 4-1 in the district championship game, their second loss in their last three games.

Pendleton County defeated Mason County 7-5 on April 16 at Mason County.

The Lady Wildcats have a team batting average of .294 and team earned run average of 4.47.

The Lady Royals have a team batting average of .297 and team ERA of 3.91.
