More Mason County track and field records are broken

More school records were broken as the Mason County Lady Royals finished third and the Royals took sixth place in the Bishop Brossart Gold Medal track and field meet on Friday.

Deshawn Overly won the boys' 3200 meter run and broke his own school record with a time of 9:52.14.

The boys' 4x800 meter relay team of Ed Brannon, Bryant Curtis, Peyton Ullery and Overly won with a new record time of 8:19.33.

Curtis set a new school record in the boys' 2000 meter steeplchase (6:49.66).

Calleig Passmore set a new school record in the girls' 2000 meter steeplchase (9:42.45).

Ava Thompson won the girls' pole vault (11-06.00).

The Area 7 meet is this Friday at Bath County.
