Northern Kentucky University freshman Layla Henderson broke her own school record in the 5000 meter finals at the Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Youngstown State University.
Henderson, a 2023 graduate of Mason County High School, finished in fifth place with a time of 16:48.20. That's 28 seconds faster then her previous record.
