The Mason County Lady Royals committed 34 turnovers in a 61-29 loss to the Taylor County Lady Cardinals on Friday night in the quarterfinal round of the Kentucky 2A Championships state tournament in Owensboro.
Taylor County led wire-to-wire. The quarter scores were 15-7, 28-14 and 47-23.
The Lady Royals shot just 9-of-37 (24.3 percent) from the field and had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Amirah Reed led Mason County in scoring with nine points and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Royals (11-6) will travel to Paris on Tuesday night to play the Bourbon County Lady Colonels.
