Royals defeat East Jessamine

Braylon Hamilton had 22 points, seven assists and six rebounds and the Mason County Royals shot 73.7 percent from the field in the second half en route to a 71-58 win over the East Jessamine Jaguars on Tuesday night at The Fieldhouse.

Mason County (12-6) made 14 of their 19 field goal attempts in the second half including 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) from 3-point range.

For the game the Royals shot 60.9 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc.

There was one tie and nine lead changes in the game before Mason County led by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter.

Braeden Myrick made four 3-pointers and scored 16 points and Jake Feldhaus had a double-double with 11 points and 11 points and blocked eight shots as the Royals ran their winning streak to three games.

Miyo Jones poured in 28 points for East Jessamine (10-9).

Mason County will travel to Florence on Thursday night to play the Boone County Rebels.
