The Mason County Royals cross country team won the KTCCCA Meet of Champions Tuesday at Kentucky Horse Park, the site of the state meet.
The Royals edged the Conner Cougars 61-64. Cooper was a distant third with 157 points. Fifteen boys' team competed in the race.
Mason County was led by Dashawn Overly in sixth place in a time of 17:43.29.
Three other Royals had top 20 finishes: Peyton Ullery in ninth place (18:15.91), Bryant Curtis in 12th place (18:26.88) and Nicholas Schiltz in 19th place (18:50.67).
