The 10th Region tennis tournament got underway Saturday at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
First round results for Mason County and St. Patrick players include:
Claire McGuire of Mason County won 6-2, 6-0.
Evan Smith of Mason County won 6-0, 6-0.
Lainie Forsythe of Mason County lost 6-3, 6-4.
Taylor Watts of St. Patrick won 6-0, 6-1.
Mason County's girls' doubles team of Braelyn Crowe and Kyndell Sutton won 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-1).
Mason County's boys' double team of David Presnell and Brody Thoroughman won by default.
St. Patrick's boys' doubles team of Rudi Ignacio and Dexton Hazelrigg lost 6-0, 6-0.
Mason County's girls' doubles team of Bailey Boone and Tori Lavinder, Mason County's boys' team of Sam Clarke and Cooper Rolph and St. Patrick's boys' doubles team of Falon Klee and Logan Stahl had first round byes.
