The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Nicholas County Lady Jackets 47-43 in Carlisle on Friday night.
The Lady Royals were up 13-7 at the end of the first quarter and only trailed by a point at halftime, but were outscored 13-6 in the third quarter.
Sarah Payne led Mason County in scoring with 14 points.
The Lady Royals (10-15) will host the Paris Lady Hounds on Saturday at 5 p.m. in the first game of a girls' and boys' doubleheader on Senior Night.
