The Mason County Royals held off Campbell County's late rally and beat the Camels 77-73 on Tuesday night at Campbell County.
After trailing by four points at halftime, the Royals outscored the Camels 28-14 in the third quarter. Mason County led 68-55 early in the fourth quarter.
There were five ties and nine lead changes through the first three quarters.
Terrell Henry led Mason County in scoring with 23 points. Riley Mastin had 21 points and nine rebounds. KG Walton made four 3-pointers, scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out eight assists. Philip Bierley had 11 points and eight rebounds.
Aydan Hamilton had 33 points and nine rebounds for Campbell County (9-7).
Mason County (14-2) ran its winning streak to four games. The Royals will play Magoffin County in the Kentucky 2A Championships state tournament in Owensboro on Friday night.
