The Mason County Lady Royals trailed 23-8 at the end of the first quarter, only had 11 field goals in the game and lost to the Conner Lady Cougars 50-34 at the Lady Royals Gym on Saturday night.
The Lady Royals only made four field goals in the second half. Conner (4-4) led by as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Mason County (4-4) was led in scoring by Avery Sims with nine points. She also had five rebounds.
The Lady Royals will travel to Erlanger on Wednesday night to play Lloyd Memorial.
