Hamilton's 19 points help lead the Royals past Greenwood in MCIT

Braylon Hamilton made five 3-pointers and matched his career-high 19 points and the Mason County Royals cruised to a 77-50 opening round win over the Greenwood Gators in the Mason County Invitational Tournament on Tuesday night at The Fieldhouse.

Terrell Henry and Riley Mastin scored 13 points apiece as the Royals ran their season-opening winning streak to seven games.

Mason County shot 62.3 percent from the field and hit eight 3-pointers.

The Royals biggest lead was 31 points at 70-39.

Mason County will play the Butler Bears in the semifinals on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. Butler routed Fleming County 91-60.

In the other games on Tuesday, Henry Clay defeated Highlands 69-60 and McCracken County beat Augusta 69-49.
