Defending champion Corey Richmond and two-time champion Drew Traxel were among the winners of first-round matches today in the championship flight of the 87th Chippeways at Maysville Country Club.
Richmond defeated Evan Schumacher while Traxel was a winner over Daulton McDonald.
Three-time champion Jackson Frame lost to Connor Taylor.
Other matches, Logan Liles defeated Jon Kosier, Jake O'Mara defeated Taylor Hyatt, Tyler Nikol defeated Tanner Walton, Kevin Lawson defeated Josh Weber and Bradley Litzinger defeated Evan Berry.
The quarterfinal round matches will be played on Saturday. Here are the tee times and pairings:
