Lyle Dunbar, who was the coach of the Maysville Bulldogs for one season (1974-75), is a member of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022.
Dunbar coached at Fordsville, West Hopkins, Scottsville, Maysville and Christian County. He is 16th on the state's all-time win list for boys' basketball coaches with 628 victories.
Dunbar succeeded Tom Creamer as the Maysville Bulldogs coach in 1974. He guided Maysville to a 14-13 record.
Dunbar guided Christian County to state runner-up finishes in 1976 and 1979.
The 2022 Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Celebration is scheduled on Saturday, August 13 at 7 p.m. at State Theatre in Elizabethtown.
The Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame, established in 2012, is located in Elizabethtown.
