The local softball and baseball teams ended their 2021 seasons with losses in the quarterfinals of the 10th Region tournaments on Saturday.
In the softball tournament at Harrison County, the St. Patrick Lady Saints were shutout by the Montgomery County Lady Indians 15-0 in three innings, and the Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Bourbon County Lady Colonels 16-4 in six innings.
In the baseball tournament at Harrison County, the Mason County Royals lost to the Nicholas County Bluejackets 10-7, and the Bracken County Polar Bears lost to the Harrison County Thorobreds 14-4 in five innings.
