The Campbell County Camels had a 26-point lead at the half and held off a furious rally by the Montgomery County Indians for a 71-67 victory in the semifinals of the 10th Region Tournament today at The Fieldhouse.
Campbell County guard Garrett Beiting scored 21 of his game-high 28 points in the first half. Eric Davie followed with 17 points and Aydan Hamilton added 15.
Montgomery County's dynamic duo -- Harrison Hagan and Rickey Lovette -- scored 20 points apiece. Eric Morgan tossed in 14 points.
Campbell County advances to the region championship game for the sixth time in the last eight seasons. The Camels will play the winner of tonight's game between Mason County and George Rogers Clark.
