June 5-6 are the dates for the 3rd Annual Commonwealth Cup

The 3rd Annual Commonwealth Cup, a two-man golf tournament, will be played June 5-6 at Laurel Oaks Golf Course.

Tournament organizers announced the details of the tournament on Facebook Live Thursday night.

"It took us about two-and-a-half, three months, maybe even longer to get our dates figured out 'cause we wanted to work with all the other courses around and make sure that we weren't stepping on anyone's toes or doing anything that would hurt any other courses," Tyler Lippert said.

The format is best ball for holes 1-6, scramble for holes 7-12 and alternate shot for holes 13-18. Teams will be placed into flights following the first round. The skins game will be on Saturday only.

The entry fee is $100 for Laurel Oaks Golf Course members and $125 for non-members. Sign-up begins March 1.

A Par 3 contest will take place on Friday, June 4 with a shotgun start at 6:30 p.m. It will be a two-man scramble with A, B and C flights offered.

The entry fee for the Par 3 contest is $50 per team.

Lippert and B.J. Knox won the Commonwealth Cup this year.

Jackson Frame and Corey Richmond won the inaugural Commonwealth Cup.
