The Augusta Park League's inaugural season is the latest sporting event to be nixed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The league announced on Saturday that this summer's games have been cancelled, but the plan is to come back next year.
Robertson County boys' basketball coach Patrick Kelsch is the league commissioner. The league conducted a player draft in May, and created a schedule of games to be played on Sundays once the pandemic restrictions were lifted. The restrictions have not been lifted and the coronavirus continues to spread.
