Blakefield T7 at Korn Ferry Tour Q-School, earns guaranteed starts

Mark Blakefield tied for seventh place in the Final Stage of the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School and secured guaranteed entry into the first 12 events of the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour regular season.

Blakefield, who began the final round tied for second place, shot a four-under 68 today at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, Florida. He shot four consecutive rounds in the 60s and had a 72-hole total of 18-under.

It's the second time Blakefield has finished in the Top 10 at
Q-School. He finished T3 in 2017.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA Tour.

The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic is the season-opening event on the Korn Ferry Tour. The tournament will be played January 12-15 at Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course.

(Updated to correct that Blakefield's T3 in 2017 was his best finish at Q-School. The original post stated this year's T7 was his best finish.)
