A.J. Slaughter scored 34 points and Chris Lofton tossed in 18 points to lead KBC to a 94-82 victory over Peoria All-Stars tonight in the opening round of the Lexington Regional of The Basketball Tournament at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington.
KBC led 36-10 at the end of the first quarter and was up 73-42 in the third quarter.
Slaughter was 11-of-18 from the field including 6-of-10 on three-pointers. He made 6-of-7 free throws.
Lofton hit four three-pointers.
Nick Mayo scored 17 points and Tyler Wilkerson added 10 points.
KBC, the No. 4 seed in the Lexington Regional, will play No. 1 seed Loyalty is Love in the semifinals Saturday at 4 p.m. The game will be on ESPN2.
