Lady Royals finish 3rd in TrackCat Cool-Down at Bath County

With just five points separating the top three teams, the Mason County Lady Royals took third place in the TrackCat Cool-Down at Bath County Saturday.

Lexington Christian won the event with 110 points. Rowan County was second with 108 points and Mason County had 105 points.

The Mason County Royals took eighth place in the boys meet.

First place finishes by Mason County athletes include:

• Abi Dawson in the pole vault (10-00.00).

• The girls 4x100 meter relay team of Iyanna Johns, Te'a King, Kendra Shoemaker and Rachel Payne (52.57).

• The girls 4x200 meter relay team of King, Dawson, Shoemaker and Aerika Venne  (1:57.41).
