The Mason County Royals and Lady Royals were swept by Harrison County in a boys and girls doubleheader tonight in Cynthiana.
The Royals rallied from a 16-point third quarter deficit to tie the game with a minute to play, but lost to the Thorobreds, 75-70.
Harrison County's final eight points were on free throws.
The Lady Royals trailed the Fillies 22-8 at the end of the first quarter of a 72-49 loss.
Emma Taylor and Sam Schumacher led the Lady Royals in scoring with 13 points apiece.
The Royals were led in scoring by Jeremiah Jones with a career-high 23 points. Carson Brammer scored 12 points. Jake Swolsky tossed in 11 points and Xylon Frey added 10 points.
Tuesday night is Senior Night at Mason County. The Lady Royals play the Bourbon County Lady Colonels, followed by the Royals against the Bishop Brossart Mustangs.
