Royals fall to 0-4 with a 73-41 loss to Scott

The Mason County Royals cut down on their turnovers, but shot just 28.8 percent from the field in a 73-41 loss to the Scott Eagles tonight in Taylor Mill.

The Royals had 14 turnovers, half of what they averaged in the first three games, but Scott shot 61.9 percent from the field for the game and outscored Mason County 27-9 in the third quarter after leading 36-21 at the half.

Jaylen Lofton scored a game-high 15 points for Mason County. Jeremiah Jones added 11 points.

Mason County is 0-4 for the first time since the 1987-88 season.

The Royals host the Bracken County Polar Bears Tuesday night.
