The No. 2 ranked Clark County Lady Cardinals used their spurtability in a 71-30 victory over the Mason County Lady Royals tonight at Letcher Norton Gymnasium in Winchester. It's Mason County's first loss of the season.
Clark County began a 17-2 first half run by scoring the final 11 points of the first quarter.
After leading 37-18 at the half, the Lady Cardinals opened the second half with an 8-0 run and outscored the Lady Royals 23-5 in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter was played with a running clock.
The Lady Cardinals scored 26 points off Mason County's 17 turnovers.
Clark County junior guard Kennedy Igo scored 15 of her game-high 20 points in the first half.
Victoria Brooks led Mason County is scoring with nine points.
Mason County plays Newport Central Catholic Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Donna Murphy Classic at Newport High School.
