Here are a few news and notes for your Wednesday reading pleasure:

• Mason County and Bracken County meet tonight at 6 o'clock in the championship game of the 39th District volleyball tournament at The Fieldhouse.
• A chili supper and silent auction to benefit Mason County cross country runner Connor Linville will be held Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Mason County High School.
• A reminder that members of the 1968 Maysville Bulldogs football team will be recognized at the Mason County Royals' home football game vs. the Holmes Bulldogs Friday night. If you know a member of the MHS team (graduating class of 1969) make sure they are aware of Friday night's recognition.
• A golf scramble to benefit the Mason County Lady Royals softball team will be played Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Maysville Country Club. The entry fee is $50. To enter a team, call 584-3020.
• 10th Region girls' basketball Media Day is scheduled Saturday, November 3 at 1 p.m. at Montgomery County High School. The 2019 10th Region girls' basketball tournament will be played at the Montgomery County High School Arena.
