Monaco jumped out to a 10-0 lead before Lofton drained a three-pointer.
Monaco led 28-17 at the end of the first quarter, 39-35 at the half and 56-55 after three quarters.
Le Mans opened the fourth quarter on a 16-7 run to lead 71-63 with two minutes to play.
Monaco rallied and had a chance to tie the game, but missed a contested last-second shot in the lane.
Lofton finished with 10 points. He was 4-of-5 from the field including 2-of-3 on three-pointers. He was 2-of-2 from the free throw line and grabbed two rebounds.
It's Le Mans' fifth French League championship and its first since 2006.
