Lady Royals routed by Campbell County

The Campbell County Lady Camels pulled away from the Mason County Lady Royals with a 17-0 run in the first quarter on their way to an 81-51 victory today in Claryville.

Campbell County, ranked No.1 in the state in The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous ratings, was up 25-6 at the end of the first quarter, 41-18 at the half and 67-35 at the end of the third quarter.

The Lady Camels expanded the lead to 35 points at 78-43 to trigger the running clock.

It's Mason County's fourth straight loss.

Three Lady Royals scored in double figures- AJ Reed with 16 points and Victoria Brooks and Kara Moran with 10 points apiece.

Mason County hosts Frederick Douglass Monday night at the Lady Royals Gym downtown,
