Lady Royals and Royals lose in quarterfinals of 10th Region tournaments

The Mason County Lady Royals fast-pitch softball team and the Mason County Royals baseball team both saw their seasons come to an end with losses in the quarterfinals of the 10th Region tournaments today.

The Lady Royals lost to the Bishop Brossart Lady 'Stangs 7-5 at Clark County to close out the season with a 10-15 record.

The Royals lost to the Harrison County Thorobreds 10-8 at Harrison County.

Mason County used a five-run fifth inning to take a 7-6 lead and added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Harrison County was twice down to its last strike, but tied the game with a two-run double and regained the lead with a two-run home run.

The Royals were unable to score in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Mason County finished the season with a 17-13 record.
