Campbell County defeated the Bracken County Polars Bears 64-59 and the Scott Eagles edged the Paris Greyhounds 70-67 tonight in the semifinals at the Mason County Fieldhouse.
Campbell County jumped out to a 9-0 lead, but Bracken County rallied and the took the lead at 44-43 on a Tanner Fisher three-pointer with 6:35 left in the game.
The Camels answered with an 8-2 run to lead 51-46 with 2:52 to play.
Campbell County extended the lead to nine at 60-51 with 41 seconds left.
Austin Crawford scored a game-high 30 points for Bracken County.
Cole Hegyi led Campbell County with 18 points.
Joel Day hit 10-of-10 free throws and scored 12 points.
Tanner Clos added 11 points.
Campbell County ran its record to 30-4.
Jake Ohmer scored 46 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Scott to the win over Paris in an instant classic.
Paris led 32-30 at halftime, but Scott opened the third quarter on a 16-3 run.
The Eagles were up 51-38 with 1:21 left in the third quarter and 57-44 with 6:52 left in the game.
The Greyhounds stormed back and regained the lead at 67-65 on a putback by Jekobi Wells with 53 seconds left in the game.
Ohmer put Scott back on top with a three-point-play with 39 seconds remaining.
After Paris missed the front end of a one-and-one, Jaycob Pouncy hit two free throws to push the Eagles' lead to three with 12 seconds to play.
Timmy Jolley blocked the Greyhounds' three-point shot, grabbed the ball and dribbled into front court as time expired..
Ohmer was 14-of-18 from the field and 17-of-19 from the free throw line. He scored 15 points in the third quarter and 17 in the fourth quarter.
Ohmer's 46 points are the second highest in a 10th Region Tournament game.
Billy Ray Fawns of Montgomery County a record 47 points in the 1995 championship game.
Eric Johnson hit five three-pointers and scored 21 points for Paris.
Jekobi Wells followed with 19 points and Ryan Davis added 10 points.
Campbell County beat Scott 57-55 in the regular season and 59-58 in the championship game of the 37th District Tournament.
The 10th Region Tournament championship is Tuesday at 7 p.m.
