The Lady Royals defeated Russell 79-49 tonight at the Fieldhouse after outscoring the Lady Red Devils 43-19 in the second half.
Mason County outrebounded Russell 46-31 and scored 20 points off the Lady Red Devils. 20 turnovers.
Whitney O'Mara had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Briana McNutt scored 13 points and Jordan Frodge added 12 points.
Russell junior Madison Darnell scored a game-high 29 points.
The Lady Royals play Bullitt East Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in the Raatz Fence/O'Shea's Classic at Mercy Academy in Louisville.
