Royals Fall to Meade Co. 74-64

In a game with six ties and six lead changes, the Mason County Royals lost to the Meade County Green Wave 74-64 tonight in the semifinals of the Randy Pender Classic at South Oldham.

Mason County led by 12 points in the second quarter and 27-22 at the end of the first half. Meade County outscored Mason County 25-16 in the third quarter and ended the game on a 17-7 run. The Green Wave made 11-of-12 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Conner Sweeney led Mason County in scoring with 20 points. Leevi Dunaway added a career-high 10 points.

The Royals will play in the third place game Wednesday at 6 p.m.
