Mason County football coach Jonathan Thomas was the speaker at the Maysville Rotary Club today. The first year coach says he has been so busy he has not had time to think about being nervous. "There's no pressure when you're prepared," Thomas says. The Royals host the Russell Red Devils for a scrimmage tonight at 6:30. Thomas says he wants to play as many players as possible tonight "because in order for us to be successful this year we need as many kids on our varsity team to play. We're trying to get away from playing kids [on] both sides of the ball." The scrimmage is open to the public.
