The Mason County Royals finished second in the Class 2A Region 6 Championship today at Mason County and qualified for the state meet. Freshman Nick Robinson led the Royals with a third place finish in a time of 16:54.79. Mason County senior Nathan Woods also won a medal with a seventh place finish with a career-best time of 17:42.42. Ashland won the region. Ashland senior Jon Renneker won the individual title (16:34.98). Rowan County took third place and Rowan County was fourth. The top four teams qualified for the state meet.Saturday, November 06, 2010
