Noah Welte named 9th Region Assistant Baseball Coach of the Year

Former St. Patrick and Thomas More College standout Noah Welte has been named 9th Region Assistant Baseball Coach of the Year. Welte is an assistant to head coach Aaron Moore at Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger. Welte assisted with the baseball team while finishing his studies at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He also worked in Chase's Law Library, clerked for an Independence law office and was a participant in the nationally known Innocence Project. He graduated May 9th, and is currently coaching Mason County's Ryne King and Bracken County's Andrew Cummins on a Northern Kentucky select team while studying for the bar exam. Welte holds the state record for single-season batting average (.737 in 2000). He set several records at Thomas More College where he was a multi-year All-American. Welte plans a career in the Kentucky Public Defenders Office as a criminal defense attorney.
