- The 10th Region tennis tournament will be played Saturday at Georgetown College. Kinley Hendrickson is in his first year as the tennis coach at St. Patrick. George Frodge coaches the Mason County tennis teams;
- The Mason County junior varsity baseball tournament is Saturday. The first game starts at 10 a.m.
- The state Track and Field Championships are scheduled May 22 and 23 at Owsley Frazier Cardinal Park on the University of Louisville campus;
- The 10th Region baseball tournament will be held at Scott High. The 10th Region fast pitch softball tournament will be played at Tommy Reffett Field in Mt. Sterling;
- Former Mason County Royals basketball trainer Greg Himes will be a trainer for the Kentucky All-Star team in the annual series against the Indiana All-Stars. Himes was trainer for the 2004 Kentucky All-Star team coached by Kelly Wells and led by Mr. Basketball Chris Lofton. Himes is the Sports Medicine/Exercise Science Instructor at Southern Hills Career and Technical Center;
- The Little Royals Softball Camp is scheduled June 15-19 at the Maysville-Mason County Recreation Park. Kindergarten and 1st grade 9-10 a.m., 2nd and 3rd grade 10:30-11:30 a.m. and 4th and 5th grade 12-1 p.m. Pitching and catching instruction (grades 3-5 only) will be from 1:30-2:30. Groups are organized by the grade your child has just finished. The cost for the skills camp only is $20. The cost for attending both the skills camp and pitching instruction is $30. - The Mason County Royals 2009 Baseball Camp will be held June 15-19 at the Mason County Baseball Field. Kindergarten-2nd grade 9-10 a.m., grades 3-5 10-11 a.m. and grades 6-8 11 a.m.-12 p.m. The cost is $25. Contact Royals Coach Mike Murphy.
