Kelly Middleton elected to Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame

Mason County Schools Assistant Superintendent Kelly Middleton has been elected to the Georgetown College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Middleton was a standout basketball player at Georgetown College from 1983 to 1985. He is 15th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,553 points and 10th in steals with 146. Middleton holds the single-season school record for free throw percentage (88.6% in the 1985-86 season).
He shares the school record for free throw percentage in a game (100%, 15-of-15 vs. Brescia in the 1984-85 season). Middleton also played tennis at Georgetown College. He was an All-American Scholar Athlete in the 1984-85 and 1985-86 seasons. The Hall of Fame dinner and induction cermonies will be held Saturday, May 23.
