Royals visit Daytona International Speedway

The Mason County Royals visited Daytona International Speedway Monday afternoon. The visit was hosted by Mason County graduate Larry Duzan who works at the speedway. Duzan was Mason County's first quarterback. He threw a pass to Allen Feldhaus Jr. for Mason County's first-ever touchdown in 1979. Duzan scored on the conversion run. Photos on the previous post from top to bottom are: current Mason County quarterback Neal Pawsat with Duzan; the team in front of the Daytona sign and Jordan Gilbert taking a photo with the grandstand in the background One other note, Mason County scorekeeper Tony Sapp drove his van into the infield of the speedway on Saturday. You'll have to ask him about it and check out his photos when we return to Maysville later this week.
