Royals are Champions of Daytona Beach Sunshine Classic

The Mason County Royals outscored the Winton Woods Warriors 9 to 3 in overtime for a 50-44 victory today in the championship game of the 19th annual Daytona Beach Sunshine Classic. There were six ties and seven lead changes. Russ Middleton's three-pointer at the start of the overtime period gave the Royals the lead for good. Middleton scored a game high 20 points and was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Treg Setty added ten points. Keith Downing, Phil Barner and Neal Pawsat were named to the all tournament team.
